The 47th Annual ALA Literacy Conference is scheduled for November 14-15, 2019, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at The Vines Center (4-H Center).
We are expecting 400+ literacy educators at this year’s conference. Exhibits will be located in the main hall of the facility which will be in the traffic flow of the participants. Dedicated exhibit times are built into this year’s schedule, but participants will be exposed to the exhibits each time a session end.
COST OF BOOTH: The cost of a booth (table) is $200. There will be no pipe and drape--space does not allow, but the tables will be skirted. Each exhibit area will be about 10’ x 6’ and include one 8’ table, two chairs, and a standard sign identifying your company An exhibitor may purchase more than one table; however, because there is a limited number of tables available—about 25--exhibitors will be limited to 2 tables, initially, if the demand exceeds the supply. Tables will be assigned upon receipt of payment; we will not hold tables for payment. Payment should accompany the contract or may be paid with a credit card on our website.
LODGING AND MEAL PACKAGES: In addition to the cost of the booth, this year everyone who attends the conference at The Vines must purchase either a Daytime Meal Package or a Lodging/Meal Package. The Daytime Meal Package is for those who will be attending the conference during the day but not spending the night. The Daytime Meal Package includes a continental breakfast, lunch, two snacks – cinnamon rolls in the morning and popcorn in the afternoon—and a continuous beverage bar. The cost of the Daytime Package is $38 for one day and $76 for two days. The Lodging/Meal Package includes meals and lodging.
ALA is making no money off the food and lodging, but the Vines requires that we manage the registrations for food and lodging. The cost of the Lodging and Meal Package is delineated in the packet and in the online registration. Lodging at the Vines is based on the number of occupants in the room and number of nights lodging. Registration online can accommodate up to four guests, but there are some rooms which will sleep up to six. These rooms have two dressing areas.
SPONSORSHIPS AND PROGRAM ADS are available this year. Priority will be given to our sponsors and advertisers on booth selections. If you are interested in sponsoring an event or purchasing ad space, please complete this registration and contact Tara Derby for information.
SECURITY: Because there is no way to secure the booths and materials, we are requiring only one day for exhibiting; however, we have decided to leave that decision up to the individual exhibitors. The facility will be locked at night and the Vines is in a safe area so there would not be any reason to be concerned about outsiders coming in.
